It is my great honor to be taking the role of Academic Dean of the Institute at such an exciting time in the development of the organisation. The move to the University of Bridgeport as the venue for our biennial symposium reflects the academic focus and growth to which IFHI aspires. The University is the home of the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine, where concepts that germinated at IFHI are developed and put into practice in a clinically based educational environment.
Appreciation of the concept of human genetic variation is rising significantly in the public sphere, and our task of advancing the scientific basis and clinical application of human individuality in health and disease is becoming ever more relevant.
With the advent of the newly formed specialty society, the Institute for Naturopathic Generative Medicine (INGM), Dr. Peter D'Adamo is driving the future of naturopathic medicine forwards to meet the demands of an ever more technologically innovative society while still keeping the patient at the centre of the therapeutic frame. This next step in the development of medical education and research in patient care mirrors the principles of our organisation, and the opportunity now arises to integrate the continuing education platform at IfHI with the work of the INGM.
