SUPERVISING PHYSICIAN, CLINICAL TEACHING SHIFT
Dr. Maria Zangara is a naturopathic physician and acupuncturist licensed in the State of CT. Fluent in Italian and Spanish, she is a graduate of SUNY Stony Brook University with a major in language arts, and a minor in biology, her post-graduate work focused on pre-medical study. Admitted to the University of Bridgeport’s College of Naturopathic Medicine in 2008, she studied Generative Medicine and trained as preceptor and extern under Dr. Peter D’Adamo’s tutelage.
Dr. Zangara currently supervises one of the two clinical teaching shifts offered by the COEGM. She has trained health professionals in SWAMI, Dr. D’Adamo’s state-of-the-art dietary analysis program which develops a personalized therapeutic nutritional plan for the individual patient.
Dr. Zangara’s work at the COE is the professional outgrowth of a life-long commitment to helping others. She has personally experienced the power of Dr. D’Adamo’s approach to healing in her own life. She would consider it her privilege to assist in integrating these insights into yours.
